Missouri SR22 Auto Insurance

Reader question:

Hi, so what do I need to get a Missouri SR22 auto insurance policy?

Jake

Thanks for asking, Jake.

I’ll give you a couple of hints by telling you what Missouri SR22 insurance law tells you that you have to pack up one. Missouri has no fault auto insurance laws, which means that you’re going to need a greater amount of required insurance than you would in most states. Here you go.

  • Liability.

Liability basically comes in injury and property liability, and this insurance will pay for the harm done to the personal property of the other person involved in the accident if you are the at fault one; as for injury, well, figure it out. You need a $50,000 for injury, which is split down the middle per person, and a $10,000 for property.

  • Personal injury protection.

This covers injuries for you when you get into a car accident. Not only does it cover your injuries, but it will also cover your death costs, any rehabilitation, lost wages, and so on.

  • Uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage.

This makes it easier on you if you get into an accident with someone who fits one of the above categories. You need $25,000 of both of these coverages.
