Driving Without Insurance St. Peters Missouri MO

I live in St. Peters, MO but visiting Illinois. I do not have car insurance but I do have a drivers license. Am I allowed to drive someone else’s vehicle who has car insurance?

You are allowed to drive in other states other than your home state in St. Peters, Missouri usually. There are exceptions such as if you have a junior, restricted license, or some graduating license instead of full, valid license.

Assuming that you have a valid and full license you can drive someone else’s cars but you should carry insurance yourself. States require motorists to be insured, even if the car already has insurance on it by its owner. If you are staying in Illinois for a long period of time you might see about obtaining a license in that state and getting car insurance.

If you are stopped driving a car without you without having insurance you can get cited in most all states including Illinois.
