Reader’s Question:

It’s almost time to renew my policy, and I wanna look for a company here in Missouri that can offer me cheaper car insurance quotes. Any advice?

Molly

St. Louis, MO

Yeah, car insurance prices just keep rising, so who wouldn’t want to shop around? Well, since you’re already on the triple W, why not surf around online and get yourself some cheaper car insurance quotes?

Almost all car insurance companies have a website which offers a ton of information about car insurance and their own company policies on car insurance. You can just fill up their forms online, and they will come back to you with an email. Even better, find the car insurance marketing companies’ websites. With these companies, they sell several brands of car insurance, and they will be able to give you quotes for several insurance companies in one go. If you’re hesitant to give out your personal information, there are also websites that do not require your personal details and they, too, can give you rates for different car insurance companies in Missouri.

Armed with these, you can start nitpicking and find out where you can get cheaper insurance, who gives the best car insurance coverage deal for your money, and which car insurance company specializes in the type of insurance that fits you. Best of all, they give quotes with no strings attached and absolutely free! So just start browsing, and let these experts do the research for you.

Filing Claim From Auto Owner Insurance Company Missouri MO

Reader’s Question:

How do you apply for a claim at an auto owner insurance company?

Lance

Kansas City MO

The first thing you need to do before going to your auto owner insurance company is to gather the necessary information first. If you’re ever involved in an accident, call 911. If you believe there’s no injury to both parties, then phone the police. Insurance companies will need the police report to confirm that there was indeed an accident. Some police officers avoid writing a report if they think the damage is below $500. Insist on it. You’ll regret it if you don’t.

Get the other person’s contact information and license number. Ask if he or she has insurance so that you will know how much you will need to pay. Don’t forget to your license number too since that other person will also file a claim with an insurance company. A lot of states now require vehicle owners to carry insurance so if he doesn’t have one, then it goes in your favor.

Ask witnesses or people at the scene for their numbers so you can contact them later when you’re applying for the claim. If you were unable to do so, check the police report. By now, you should have seen the importance of a police report.

Inform the other person’s insurer that you plan on getting a claim and will want to reimburse any costs from them that your own auto owner insurance company won’t pay. Write down what happened so you won’t forget what happened. Companies will ask for you own version of what happened so be prepared.

Of course, call your Missouri insurer. There are insurance companies that will process your claim within 24 hours as long you have your insurance identification card. So make it a habit to carry yours every time you drive.
